BRIAN DIVIS
Brian Divis is a Chicago area interdisciplinary artist and educator working primarily in painting, sculpture and mixed media. His practice often prompts the investigation into individual ideas of constructed reality and human interrelations by questioning the tactile perceptions and knowledge of the objects in our shared space. It is guided by the notion that acceptance in the perpetual shifting of cultural and aesthetic orientations is a crucial component in achieving human empathy and understanding.

He has exhibited with Chicago Sculpture International, DIALOGUE Chicago, Chicago Artists Coalition and Friends of the Arts. Recent exhibitions include "Unfixed" at Real Tinsel, Milwaukee WI, "In High Regard" at OS Projects, Racine WI, “Recent Works” at Robert T. Brian holds an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, an MEd from Loyola University Chicago and BA in Art from Eastern Illinois University.
